BFD 2009 Pt. 2

Okay, I have really sucky memory but I think I should remember what I did two days ago.

The morning was pretty hectic. Everyone was trying to get ready for Corina's stupid Upward Bound graduation thing. Everyone was trying to get dress and were yelling at each other. I tried my best to avoid all that by staying in my room as much as possible. I didn't really have anything nice to wear. I had this black shirt I planned on wearing but it looked like crap. Armida couldn't find anything either. She took off the white shirt and tie that she was going to wear and let me have that instead while she wore her own black shirt. I looked way better than I did before but I think I still looked pretty retarded.

Anyways, after about 2 hours of rushing and yelling, we left for the Hilton in Union City (or is it Newark?). My mom kept asking me if I had my camera like a million times. I was mad because I hate being dragged to Corina's UB crap. Also because my shoes really hurt. Stupid flats were cutting into my foot. Ouch. 

We got there at about 9:30ish and signed in and sat at our table. Nothing much happened until at least half an hour later. We got breakfast and I really like the bacon. The pineapple was a bit sour though. The thing started and I got stuck having to film with my mom's big ass bulky camcorder. We seriously need to get a digital camera! My arm was getting so tired of holding it up that I finally laid it on the table on top of Armida's wallet so that I could still see the podium. This one lady's butt got in the way and that was pretty annoying.

I was so bored that whole time but me and Armida started laughing when Corina had to speak. She started crying and I thought that was so funny! I think my mom told me to shut up. When the thing finally finished around 1:30 my mom kept telling me to keep taking pictures and stuff which was getting on my nerves since we were already late plus we were all told to leave because the room was needed for another event.

I was also pretty mad because there were bathrooms nearby but for some reason, we ended up driving off to some empty parking lot behind a warehouse to change. My dad got out while us females struggled to get dress. Armida and I didn't really mind get dressed out of the car (I was already halfway done, I just need to pull my pant up all the way) but Corina was throwing a fit and told us to get out. I only did because I didn't want to hear my mom yell again (she still did anyway =/)

When we were all done, our dad drove my mom to work and then dropped us off at Shoreline. We were in line for about half an hour and we went to the bathroom since I really had to pee. I texted Karen to see where her and Van were at. Armida was being bitchy and didn't want to come with me to find them so I left by myself. It took me a while to find them but I managed to a few minutes before Alkaline Trio. I started to get really sleepy when Rebelution started playing. I wanted to lie down and sleep but I didn't want to get trampled.

I took a whole bunch of pictures of Alk3 and even a video. The video kind of sucks though. The audio is awful and I kept getting pushed around too much. Also, that stupid blonde girl in front of me kept getting in the way! Here it is anyways. The song is Burn.

The set list was pretty awesome. I like the new song they played but I swear I thought it was a Misfits song haha. I thought it was funny when Karen and the blonde were fighting by pushing each other out of the way haha. I was getting pushed around a lot too and I was already in a bad mood as it was so when that blonde girl finally left, I tried to get her spot in the front but some other girl took it. I was actually not mad about that since she wasn't that pushy really. I did managed to grab hold of the barricade and I braced myself for any sudden waves of people to knock me down. Everytime I got pushed and I shoved back real hard and I could feel the people next to me tip over a bit. Van got lost somewhere behind me which sucks cause she couldn't get as good a view as me. She need to learn to be more aggressive in crowds!

When Alk3 finished, I found Armida and Corina. They weren't actually that far away. They stayed behind to watch Taking Back Sunday and I lost Karen and Van while I was talking to them. I stood by the T-shirt stand and waited for them to come find me. We were able to catch a glimpse of Karen O which was awesome.

Karen and Van went to go get food and drinks and I just followed them around. I didn't want to buy anything since it was too expensive but I did have two nacho chips from Van. Karen got a Yeah Yeah Yeahs shirt too. I was jealous. We went to the lawn afterward to chillax. It was full of people so we got a spot on the bottom left corner facing the stage. Armida and Corina met up with us later and together we ignored Dead Confederates by talking and taking random pictures of each other.

YYYs came on and Karen and Van went to get closer while I watched their stuff. Armida went to and took pictures. I thought they themselves sounded great but the sound systems sucked. This one guy kept pointing at the speaker above us and was shouting to turn them on. I totally agreed with him. Why have them if you're not going to use them??

After the YYYs played, I left with Armida and Corina without saying good bye to Karen and Van haha. We walked out to Shoreline Blvd and went to a 7-11 to get something to eat. While we were eating by the fountain we called our dad to pick us up. When he got there, we went to go pick our mom up from work and headed home.

Once home, I saw that I got my Chameleon Circuit cd! I was so excited. I listened to it right away. My favorite song is Exterminate Regenerate. I like the picture in the booklet. It looked like David Tennant was part of the band but it was just Liam hahah. I showed my parents the pictures from the graduation then I set to work uploading the pictures I took at BFD. After that, I don't remember what I did. Probably watched a few videos on YouTube and went to bed. 

Well, I need to go get ready to leave for class soon. I have a final today which sucks. I already did one final and I didn't have one for my Fiction writing class so today is my last day! Yay! I'm so happy I have tomorrow off. Me and Armida are going to go to the zoo! I just don't know which one yet...Oakland or San Francisco? Hmmm...
